This Privacy Policy explains what information PositionDesk collects, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account data: your email address and authentication details, managed through our authentication provider, Supabase.
- Portfolio data: the holdings, transactions, cash flows, alerts and settings you enter to use the Service.
- Billing data: if you subscribe to Pro, payments are processed by Paddle. We receive your subscription status and limited billing metadata; we never see or store your full card number.
- Consent record: when you sign up we store the timestamp and version of the Terms and Privacy Policy you accepted.
How we use it
- To provide the Service by storing your data and computing performance and analytics.
- To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
- To manage your subscription and provide support.
- To fetch market prices and FX rates from third-party data sources for the tickers you track.
Service providers
We rely on a small set of processors to run the Service: Supabase (authentication and database hosting), our application host, Paddle (payments), and third-party market-data providers. These providers process data only to provide their service to us.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can export or delete your portfolio data from the app, and you can also contact us for help. Some records may be retained where required for legal or accounting obligations.
Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and stored with our hosting providers. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
Your choices
You can access and edit your portfolio data in the app, cancel your subscription at any time, and request data export or deletion.
