Terms of Service

1. The Service

PositionDesk lets you record holdings, transactions and cash flows and computes performance and analytics, including time-weighted returns, benchmark comparisons, allocation views, risk metrics, and similar information, from the data you enter and from third-party market data. Market prices and FX rates are sourced from third parties and may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate.

2. Not financial advice

The Service is for informational and record-keeping purposes only. Nothing it produces is investment, tax, legal, or financial advice, and nothing constitutes a recommendation to buy or sell any security. All figures, including realized and unrealized gains, returns, and tax-lot calculations, are estimates that you are responsible for verifying. You make your own investment and tax decisions and bear sole responsibility for them.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate information and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.

4. Free and Pro plans

The Service offers a Free plan and a paid Pro plan. Pro is billed as a recurring subscription through our payment provider, Paddle, which acts as the Merchant of Record. Pricing, the free-trial period and plan limits are shown at checkout and on our pricing page and may change with notice. Your subscription renews automatically until cancelled.

5. Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel at any time; cancellation stops future renewals and your Pro features remain active through the end of the paid period. Refunds are handled as described in our Refund Policy.

6. Acceptable use

• Do not attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service.
• Do not use the Service to violate any law or infringe others' rights.
• Do not resell or redistribute the Service without permission.

7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that market data is accurate or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any investment losses or tax outcomes arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms; material changes will be reflected by the Last updated date above. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
